A spacecraft can only carry a certain amount of fuel at a time, and most of it is used up in order to leave Earth's orbit. Therefore, long-term space missions require a filling station in space, but refueling in zero gravity is tricky. In this talk, Prithvi Shukla from the ZARM, will give us a sense of all the challenges involved in handling fluids in space.
